Director/Head of Market Access & Reimbursement

Job Description

Edenbridge Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Head of Market Access & Reimbursement to lead the creation, execution, pull-through, and maximization of sales opportunities with commercial and government payers. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive management of the Company located at its Parsippany, NJ office and will be responsible for:

Payer Strategy & Marketing

  • Develop and implement Managed Care Organization (MCO) market access and contract strategies to ensure distribution, reimbursement, and profitability of a specialty branded Rx product line
  • Plan, initiate, and conduct MCO account negotiations
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships between the Company and decisionmakers at commercial and government payers
  • Communicate effectively the key clinical advantages of the Company’s brand products to payers
  • Maximize the Company’s product uptake and acceptance among payers
  • Develop and approve market access marketing materials

Pricing & Contracting

  • Lead negotiations with payers to gain access for the Company’s brand products
  • Draft and review contracts and obtain alignment with executive management
  • Systematically measure contracts for compliance and rebates for claim validity
  • Negotiate terms and settlement of issues protecting Company interests while maintaining relationships with customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry including a combination of account management, pricing, contracting, and marketing roles
  • Established relationships with key national payers
  • Strong knowledge of PBMs, health plans, trade and distribution, pharmaceutical sales, finance, and marketing management
  • Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of business results, a sense of urgency, and big picture orientation with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision
  • High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and ethics
  • Demonstrated management and leadership abilities
